1 week, 6 days to go...
As soon as I decided to actually commit to teaching abroad I went planning CRAZY. I googled photos, flats to rent, money conversion info and tips on basically anything related to backpacking and the UK. I signed my contract as soon as humanly possible (March), bought my plane ticket 3 months early, my backpack, power adapters and battery chargers 2.5 months early, bus ticket to get from Manchester (where we fly into) to Birmingham 2 months early, got my travel money cards and British Pounds in the middle of July. Needless to say, I plan ahead. Due to my endless desire to organize every possible facet of my upcoming journey I now have nothing to do. I HATE packing so that will be left to the last possible second. When you combine my lack of things to do with my dread of saying goodbye to my family you are left with a VERY long week and 6 days to endure. I am sick of thinking about how much everything is going to change, and how many completely amazing things I will experience, I just want to go!
